Jay Graber
CEO, Bluesky Social
Jay Graber is the CEO of Bluesky, a public benefit company building an open social network. Previously, she built Happening, a site for social events, and developed Zcash, a privacy-preserving cryptocurrency. She has also worked as an organizer at digital rights nonprofits.
David Krane
CEO & Managing Partner, GV
As GV’s CEO and Managing Partner, David Krane has built his life and work around the art of investing — not only in capital, but in deep and long-standing relationships. After early career stops at Qualcomm and Apple, David joined Google in 2000 (as employee number 84) and is recognized as a key architect of the early culture and brand. Within a few fast-paced years, he had risen to lead Google’s global communications and public affairs group and was part of the senior leadership team that guided the company’s growth into a multibillion-dollar global enterprise. David balances his time between directing GV’s global activities and leading investments. His investments include early checks into Uber, StockX, Nothing, Nest, The Bored Ape Yacht Club, and Blue Bottle Coffee. David is a Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) member and a long-time advisor to the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He received his Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Indiana University-Bloomington and has held board roles at MGM Studios (recently sold to Amazon) and the Dean’s advisory board for the IU School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. David is widely recognized for his philanthropic and business leadership and was named The Center for Conscientious Leadership’s 2024 “Leader of the Year.” He also received the Ellis Island Honor Society’s 2024 Ellis Island Medal of Honor award, recognizing acclaimed Americans of immigrant descent for distinguished character and contributions to business and society.
Jeremy Kaufmann
Partner, Scale Venture Partners
Jeremy focuses on investments across Scale’s technology portfolio with a primary focus on companies adding machine intelligence to business and vertical software, especially in industries untouched by the first decade of SaaS. His efforts have contributed to investments across vertical software (Motive formally KeepTruckin), AI and automation (Datagen, Flatfile, Cognata, TechSee, and Solvvy), and the intersection of machine learning and digital health (OM1, Proscia, Robin Healthcare and Viz.ai).
Prior to joining Scale, Jeremy worked on the Sales Strategy and Business Operations team at Salesforce, where he drove initiatives in sales operations, partnerships, and growth, serving as the embedded strategy lead for the SMB business and the sales development organization. Additionally, he worked as a data scientist at Analysis Group, focused on health economics, healthcare outcomes research, and drug pricing. Jeremy started his career as a policy researcher at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he concentrated on consumer credit, college loan accumulation, and education in the age of automation.
Jeremy holds a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College, where he graduated summa cum laude. Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys cycling, tennis, and just about any outdoor adventure you can throw at him.
Alex Niehenke
Partner, Scale Venture Partners
Alex joined in 2013 as a Principal, responsible for sourcing investments in DroneDeploy and Forter. A Partner since 2017, Alex has focused on early investments in vertical software markets where incumbents have failed to invest in advanced technology offerings. That thesis has led to investments in Archipelago, Dusty Robotics, Motive formally KeepTruckin, Root Insurance, Scout RFP, Sixfold, Spruce, Proscia, and Proxy. Motive has been one of the fastest growing SaaS companies of all time; Scout RFP was acquired by Workday in late 2019 for $540M; and Root completed its IPO in late 2020.
Alex sits on the Board of Directors of Motive, Spruce, Proscia, and Archipelago. He has written about SaaS in TechCrunch and been profiled by Business Insider, Forbes, and Silicon Valley Business Journal.
