Chanel and Tribeca are teaming up again for the ninth annual Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women”s Filmmaker Program.
This year”s three-day event will bring five teams of emerging U.S.-based self-identifying women and non-binary filmmakers together for one-on-one mentorship and intimate conversations focused on script-to-screen development, music composition, costume design, producing and directing with esteemed industry leaders from Sept. 17-19 in New York City.
Participants can expect to shape and refine their projects and pitches with the help of Jane Fonda, Greta Lee, Kerry Washington, Pamela Adlon, Molly Gordon, and other experts before showing their work to a jury made up of Lucy Liu, Beanie Feldstein, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Olivia Wilde, and more.
At the conclusion of the program, one team will receive full financing to produce their short film with support from Tribeca Studios, while the four other projects will be awarded grant funds to support their development.
“I”m incredibly proud of our Through Her Lens alumnae, a tremendously talented group of women filmmakers who are making waves within the industry, including A.V. Rockwell, Numa Perrier, Nikyatu Jusu, Kat Coiro, Sonejuhi Sinha, Gabriella Moses, Hannah Peterson, Ani Simon-Kennedy, Laura Moss, Caroline Lindy, Shuchi Talati, the list goes on,” Jane Rosenthal, co-founder and CEO of Tribeca Enterprises said in a press release.
