[PR] （USJ、）は12日、新エリア「ドンキーコング・カントリー」を12月11日に開業すると発表した。エリア内の新アトラクションは、ゲームでおなじみのトロッコに乗って冒険を楽しむ「ドンキーコングのクレイジー・トロッコ」。ジャングルの中を走り抜ける想定という。 トロッコは1台4人乗りで、身長107センチ以上で乗れる。コースは約2分。エリアのシンボルとなる「黄金のしんでん」から出発する。 新エリアは、のゲームキャラクターをテーマにした「スーパー・・ワールド」を拡張してつくる。新エリアで同ワールドの面積は1.7倍に広がる。 新エリアは当初、今年春の開業を目指していたが、USJは4月、「完成度をより高めるため一定の調整期間を要する」として開業の延期を発表していた。 同ワールドは2021年3月に開業。マリオカートを楽しめるアトラクションなどがある。（野口陽）
